- Question along these lines: for any modem that distinguishes between
- incoming voice/fax on the fly, would this not be required (assuming no
- distinctive ring)? If not, how do other voice mail modems (the cardinal
- brand comes to mind) accomplish the same feat if the calling fax does
- not identify itself?
